After dropping hints about a ‘darker’ sequel for his box office hit ‘Brahmastra’, Ayan Mukerji has now additionally promised ‘better dialogues‘ and a ‘juicy’ story.
The director and his lead actress Alia Bhatt became an overnight meme, thanks to her major dialogue in the film – calling out to Ranbir Kapoor’s character “Shiva!”


While celebrating the film‘s success, Ayan, Alia and Ranbir Kapoor addressed the trending memes and explained that according to the director, people in love often take each other’s names, hence the same applied to their characters. However, with work on ‘Brahmastra: Part Two’ officially underway, Ayan told Sony Music India, that Brahmastra is a ‘Made In India’ product and admitted that it was very challenging.


Revealing his challenges for Part 2, he said, “Making it at the same quality with better dialogues and more juicy storytelling, it is a very very big challenge.”


The director also shared that it would take around 2-3 years to finish the sequel. He added, “It would have been amazing if we could have given you Brahmastra 2 next year. I would have loved it, it would have been great for me.”




In a previous interview, the director said that ‘Part One: Shiva’, was just the set-up for the upcoming two instalments in the epic action-adventure franchise. He explained to PTI, “It is a love story and Shiva got his power from love.
