‘Brahmastra’ trailer: Twitterati compare Ranbir Kapoor-starrer to ’90s <a href=" https://calipubs.com” > cartoon ‘Captain Planet’; say ‘bas ‘Dharti’ aur ‘Dil’ ki kami thi’ – Times of India

Ayan Mukerji and Ranbir Kapoor have seemingly enchanted Indian audiences with the first official trailer of their <a href=" https://luxbollywood.com” > film ‘Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva’, but it <a href=" https://calisem.com” > looks like not everyone is giving in to the hype.
The trailer that was released on Wednesday morning, had fans taking to Twitter to sing praise of the ‘stunning’ visuals, the first of its kind VFX used in a Bollywood <a href=" https://luxbollywood.com” > film, and the exciting new story that is the start of the ‘Astra’ cinematic universe. Fans also went gaga over Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna and Amitabh Bachchan. However, there were a few who found that the trailer had some elements of the ’90s animated <a href=" https://calipubs.com” > cartoon series ‘Captain Planet’.

<div data-async="true" data-script=" https://jsc.mgid.com/t/i/til.timesofindia.com.1240522.js” data-geo=”[‘US’, ‘CA’, ‘UK’, ‘AU’, ‘AE’, ‘GB’]” class=”replacerAd hide”>

In the trailer, Amitabh in a voice over introduces viewers to the ‘Astra’ universe and says, “Water, wind, fire. Since ancient times there exist among us energies which have been harnessed into Astras. This is a story about the lord of all the Astras- the Brahmastra, and about one young man who must discover that the destiny of the Brahmastra depends on him – Shiva”

Interestingly, the ‘Captain Planet’ intro also happens to start off in the same manner. The <a href=" https://calipubs.com” > cartoon starts off with a theme song that has lyrics which read, “Earth! Fire! Wind! Water! Heart! Go <a href=" https://topwebcali.com” > <a href=" https://luxbollywood.com” > <a href=" https://calipubs.com” > <a href=" https://luxbollywood.com” > planet! By your powers combined, I am captain <a href=" https://topwebcali.com” > <a href=" https://luxbollywood.com” > <a href=" https://calipubs.com” > <a href=" https://luxbollywood.com” > planet!”

<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="416" width="100%" src=" https://www.youtube.com/embed/OiYjTb3opAA”>

It didn’t take fans of the <a href=" https://calipubs.com” > cartoon too long to draw similarities between the two as they wrote, “So, India is getting is its own Captain <a href=" https://topwebcali.com” > <a href=" https://luxbollywood.com” > <a href=" https://calipubs.com” > <a href=" https://luxbollywood.com” > planet movie. Agni, Vayu, Jal, Dharti and Dil.”

Another quipped, “Bas ‘Dharti’ aur ‘Dil’ ki kami thi. Warna apna ‘Captain Planet’ aa jaata pradushan mitaane.”

Another said, “so basically this Brahmastra is Indian <a href=" https://topwebcali.com” > version of captain <a href=" https://topwebcali.com” > <a href=" https://luxbollywood.com” > <a href=" https://calipubs.com” > <a href=" https://luxbollywood.com” > planet, okay got it.”

There were still others who thought that the <a href=" https://luxbollywood.com” > film was a mix of Marvel superhero <a href=" https://luxbollywood.com” > films, including the 2021 release ‘Eternals’.
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="416" width="100%" src=" https://www.youtube.com/embed/x46a0mGsd38″>

“#BrahmastraTrailer gave me Thor x Eternals Vibe,” said a fan in a tweet.

While another admitted that it could very much be India’s ‘Eternals’, he did say that it had all the makings of a blockbuster. The Twitter user wrote, “#Brahmastra could very well be India’s Eternals! It comes LOADED with the pan India sentiment & has the ability to pull HUMONGOUS footfalls, owing to densifying the mythology. #RanbirKapoor is standing on the edge of creating history!”

‘Brahmastra’ releases in theatres on September 9, 2022.
