The race to get into the Champions League is one of the most hotly-contested parts of the Premier League season.
Getting into the top four guarantees extra revenue but crucially ensures the highest standard of European football for the following season and allows clubs to attract the highest calibre of player possible.
With the title race often left to one or two teams to battle out, the race for the top four is usually far more open, and here 101 Great Goals looks at the latest odds for 2021/22 from the Premier League, and which teams are favourites to get that last spot.
Arsenal lose top 4 grip
Arsenal suffered their second successive loss, falling to a 2-1 defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion side in front of a restless Emirates crowd. The result leaves them three points behind Tottenham, although they do have a game in hand on their north London rivals.
However, Mikel Arteta has tough games ahead. Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham and West Ham all lie in wait before the end of the season, meaning that the Gunners need to bounce back, and fast.

Worse still, the absences of both Kieran Tierney and Thomas Partey, potentially out for the remainder of the season, have hit the north London side hard.
And this combination of factors have seen Arsenal slip out of favourites spot for the top 4, according to the bookies.
Tottenham take control as Manchester United drift
Tottenham are the team to beat at the moment, and despite coming under immense pressure from Aston Villa in the first half of their encounter at Villa Park, ran out emphatic 4-0 winners over Steven Gerrard’s side, thanks to a Son Heung-Min hat-trick.

Manchester United, meanwhile, have seen their title-charge from the beginning of the season disintegrate into a seventh place spot at the time of writing, and the bookies have them at a massive 16/1 to finish fourth come the end of the season, third favourites in a seemingly three-horse race.
Their defeat to Everton left them six points behind Tottenham and three behind Arsenal, and on a woeful run of form that shows no sign of changing under Ralf Rangnick.
Out of the running
Six points behind Tottenham having played a game more, David Moyes’ side seemingly need a miracle to finish fourth, and as a result are priced at 66/1. Their most recent defeat, 2-0 to Brentford, may have finally ended their chances for good.

Another side now seemingly out of it are Wolves, are 8 points behind Tottenham having played a game more, and lost 1-0 to Newcastle on Friday night to ensure that they remained 8th over the weekend. For Bruno Lage and his side, it seems that the ship has sailed this season, with the bookies offering odds of a massive 500/1 for a fourth-placed finish.
